Configurator — which options to choose for your AI Mini Server?

By default, the Mini AI Server base is already optimized for local computing and artificial intelligence. All offered options are compatible, tested, and assembled and prepared by our technicians so that your machine is delivered ready to use.

Collapsible content

1. Base Mini PC

The base includes the core of the system: the NVIDIA GB10 Grace Blackwell platform with 128 GB of unified LPDDR5X memory. Nothing to configure here; this is the foundation of your AI server.

2. Internal Storage

Role: to host the OS, AI models, working data, and projects.

Key points:

  • 1 TB: minimum recommended to start, sufficient for common models and daily use.
  • 2 TB: increased comfort to store multiple models, datasets, and projects simultaneously.
  • 4 TB: ideal for intensive use, large collections of models, or large data volumes.

The larger the storage, the less you will need to manage and delete files daily.

3. Simple external backup pack

Role: protect your data and models against accidental loss with a portable SSD.

Key point: an external backup is the minimum recommended protection. In case of failure or error, you can quickly restore your work environment. The Samsung T7 Shield SSD is durable, fast, and portable.

4. Network Backup (NAS)

Role: centralize and secure your data on your local network, with redundancy via RAID.

Key points:

  • RAID 1 (Synology DS225+) duplicates your data across two drives: if one fails, the other automatically takes over.
  • RAID 5 (UGREEN DH4300+) offers greater capacity with fault tolerance across 4 drives, ideal for environments with large amounts of data.

A NAS is especially useful if you work in a team, if your data is critical, or if you want to automate your backups.

4.2 If NAS selected only — Advanced backup protection

Role: go beyond simple backup by keeping a version history of your data.

Key point: Advanced Snapshots allow you to capture the exact state of your system or data at a specific moment. If an error occurs—accidental deletion, corrupted file, incorrect handling of a model or project—you can revert to a precise previous state without having to restore everything from scratch.

Recommended if you regularly work on important projects and want detailed protection beyond a simple backup copy.

5. UPS (uninterruptible power supply)

Role: protect the server against power outages and electrical surges.

Note: a power outage during processing or writing can corrupt data or damage hardware. The UPS maintains power long enough for a proper shutdown. Recommended whenever the machine runs continuously or hosts important data.

6. System Image & Restoration

Role: to have a complete copy of the system ready to be reinstalled in case of a problem.

Note: the Radiance restoration SSD allows you to restore your server to its original state in just a few minutes, without technical intervention. Useful in case of system corruption, user error, or problematic update.

7. Installation Support

Role: save time and get started under the best conditions.

  • Advanced setup: initial system configuration, component verification, and guided first startup.
  • Turnkey AI package: complete installation of the AI environment (tools, frameworks, models), so you are operational upon receipt without any technical handling.

Recommended if you want to focus on your projects right from the start without spending time on configuration.

8. Optimized local network + configuration

Role: ensure a fast and stable connection between the server and your other devices (PC, NAS, other servers).

Note: the AI Mini Server features a 10G port and a ConnectX-7. To fully leverage its performance on a local network, a 2.5G switch is a good accessible compromise. An 8-port switch is suitable for larger setups with multiple connected devices.

9. Security option

Role: strengthen system protection against unauthorized access and software threats.

Note: the System Security Pack includes the configurations and tools necessary to secure your AI environment, especially useful if the server is accessible from a shared network or exposed to the Internet.

10. On-site installation

Role: fully delegate the installation and commissioning of your infrastructure to a technician.

Key point: if you want to avoid any technical handling or integrate the server directly into your work environment, a technician can come on-site to carry out the complete installation.

The intervention generally includes:

  • physical installation of the Mini AI Server and ordered equipment (NAS, UPS, network switch)
  • connection and organization of network and power connections
  • integration of the server into your local network
  • configuration of access from your computers
  • verification of the proper functioning of the entire system

At the end of the intervention, your infrastructure is installed, tested, and ready to use.

The technician also takes the time to:

  • explain the general operation of the system
  • show you how to access the server and storage
  • answer questions related to your installation

Two intervention zones are offered:

  • France: technician travel to your site for complete installation.
  • Europe: intervention possible in most European countries upon request.

This option is especially recommended for:

  • businesses
  • research teams
  • studios or professional environments
  • any installation involving multiple devices (NAS, network, backups)

It allows you to save time and ensure optimal setup from day one.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the purpose of a local AI Mini Server compared to the cloud?

A local AI server allows you to run, develop, and test artificial intelligence models directly on your machine, without relying on external cloud services. This ensures the privacy of your data, control over your costs, and stable operation, even offline. It is an ideal solution for businesses, developers, and researchers who want to maintain control over their AI environment.

Can you deliver and install the system on-site in France or Europe?

Yes, we offer delivery and on-site installation throughout France and Europe. A Radiance Systems technician will come to your location to install, configure, and commission your AI Mini Server directly in your environment. The price varies depending on the country and location; please contact us to get a quote tailored to your situation.

Is telephone or video support available?

Yes. If you have any questions, technical issues, or need assistance getting started, you can contact a Radiance Systems technician directly by phone or video call. This allows for quick resolution of specific problems remotely, without waiting for a third-party service provider.

Can I train models with this server?

Yes. The ASUS Ascent GX10 is designed for local inference, fine-tuning, and model development up to 70 billion parameters. For even larger models (up to 405B), two units can be connected via NVLink. For massive large-scale training, distributed or cloud solutions remain more suitable.

What are the delivery times?

Allow approximately 15 days for preparation, followed by 48 to 96 hours for shipping, totaling 17 to 19 business days. You can also pick up your order directly on-site in Auriol (13) as soon as it is ready.

I would like to pick up my order in person at Auriol, how does it work?

Place your order on our website as usual, then select "In-store pickup" as the delivery method. If you prefer to pay on-site (credit card, Apple Pay, bank transfer, or cash), choose "Pay on-site once the order is ready." Depending on the amount, a deposit may be required before preparation begins. Contact us before ordering to check our availability.
