What is n8n used for?

n8n is an automation tool. It connects your software (email, online store, spreadsheet, CRM, accounting) and chains actions on your behalf: when an event occurs somewhere, n8n triggers the next step.

Two features distinguish it from similar online tools:

  • It can be installed on your own server. Your data does not transit through a third-party platform.
  • It connects to an AI. A step in the workflow can read an email, summarize a document, or prepare a reply.

n8n connected to local AI

Most "AI-powered" automations send your data to an online service at every step. This is not mandatory.

We assemble AI stations and servers and install n8n alongside an open-source language model on them. The entire workflow then runs on your premises: the email is read, classified, and processed without leaving your network. For a firm, law office, or department handling confidential files, local AI facilitates GDPR compliance.
