The 5P 1150i Gen2 adopts a compact 1U rack format, designed for 19-inch bays. It features a C14 input and 6 IEC C13 outputs, as well as a next-generation graphic LCD display to quickly view the UPS status, load, runtime, and alerts. It also includes USB communication and RS232 serial interfaces, dry contacts, and a slot for an optional communication card for more advanced monitoring.
On the battery side, the device uses maintenance-free and user-replaceable batteries, with automatic testing, deep discharge protection, and advanced management of the ABM type to optimize lifespan. Eaton also mentions hot-swappable batteries and 2 controllable outlet groups, useful for prioritizing certain equipment and optimizing available runtime.
