  • CPU / iGPU architecture: Zen 3 (Cezanne) / Radeon Vega

  • Cores / Threads: 6 cores, 12 threads

  • CPU frequencies: base 3.9 GHz • boost up to 4.4 GHz

  • Cache: 16 MB L3 + 3 MB L2

  • TDP: 65 W

  • Socket: AM4 (B450/B550/A520/X570 depending on board, BIOS update often required)

  • Memory: DDR4 dual-channel, official support 3200 MT/s (higher via XMP/DOCP depending on board)

  • PCIe: 3.0 (limited CPU lanes, x8 for dedicated GPU on this APU)

  • Cooler: Wraith Stealth included

  • Unlocked: unlocked multiplier (OC possible)

Integrated graphics part (the strong point)

  • GPU: Radeon Vega 77 CU / 448 stream processors

  • iGPU frequency: up to 1.9 GHz

  • Video memory: shared with system RAM (no dedicated VRAM)

  • Media: H.264/HEVC encoding/decoding, VP9 decoding (no AV1)

iGPU performance (what to expect)

  • E-sport/competitive games (Valorant, CS2, LoL, Rocket League, Fortnite): 1080p Low–Medium smooth with fast RAM in dual-channel.

  • AAA games: rather 720p–900p Low or 1080p with FSR when available, to stay playable.

  • The memory bandwidth is critical: the Vega 7 gains a lot with fast DDR4 (e.g., 3600 MT/s CL16) in 2×8 GB or 2×16 GB.

Integration tips for the iGPU

  • Enable XMP/DOCP for the RAM and aim for dual-channel.

  • In the UEFI, you can increase the memory allocated to the iGPU (UMA Frame Buffer) if needed.

  • Keep the BIOS/AGESA updated for the best compatibility and graphics fixes.

Compared to the Ryzen 5 5600 (non-G)

  • The 5600G offers a usable iGPU (no need for a graphics card) but has less L3 cache (16 MB) and no PCIe 4.0, which puts it slightly behind in FPS with a dedicated graphics card compared to the 5600 “pure CPU”.

  • Ideal for a compact/economical PC without a dedicated GPU, or as an upgradeable base (a GPU can be added later).

For whom?

  • For those who want a versatile PC (office work, multimedia, light gaming) without a graphics card initially, while staying on the very affordable AM4 platform.
